When the early morning rays of sunshine came through the gap of the curtains, Su Hang opened his eyes. The man who hadn't fully sobered up yet instinctively hugged the woman in his arms. After ten seconds of blinking, he lifted up his body, dropped a good morning kiss on the woman's hair, and got up to go to the bathroom and wash up.

When the sounds of water could be heard in the bathroom, Shen Xi opened her eyes. She looked towards the direction of the bathroom, doubt in her gaze. What happened to him today? Why did he suddenly kiss her so intimately?

After a while, the sounds of water stopped. Shen Xi closed her eyes again and pretended to still be asleep. Su Hang came out of the bathroom, went into the closet to change into some sportswear, then went back to the bedside table to grab his cellphone. When Su Hang turned on his phone, the date was displayed: October 21, 2022.

Seeing that there were no unread messages on his phone, Su Hang slipped it into his pocket. He planned to go out for a run and buy Shen Xi some roses on the way. The roses in the yard wouldn't be in bloom at this part of the year, so he had to go buy some at the flower shop instead.

"Good morning, sir." Mrs. Zhang, who was cleaning, greeted Su Hang as he walked down the stairs.

"Good morning." Su Hang, in a good mood, smiled and greeted her back.

Mrs. Zhang was stunned and her hand that held a dishcloth froze. She didn't move a muscle until Su Hang had left the house. It seems that Sir was in a good mood today?

Su Hang went to the courtyard and found that Chu Wu, who always ran with him in the mornings, wasn't there. He called out for the dog twice but heard no answer from the dog. While Su Hang found it strange, he ultimately didn't pay too much attention to it. Maybe Chu Wu was busy playing in the children's' room instead.

Su Hang walked out of the gate and ran towards the flower shop situated at the foot of the mountain. When he reached the crossroads, he discovered that the zebra crossing, which had only been half-drawn yesterday, was finally finished. It made his mild obsessive-compulsive disorder finally rest easy.

"Boss, give me a rose." Su Hang opened the door of the flower shop and called out.

"Alright." The boss took out a rose and tied a beautiful ribbon on the stem. They handed it to Su Hang and smiled. "Sir, you're giving it to your wife?"

Su Hang was somewhat speechless. "I've been buying flowers from you for several years already, and you still ask such a question?"

The boss watched this 'old customer' pay for the rose and leave the store and blinked. Did they have amnesia? How else could they have forgotten such a handsome customer?

Su Hang walked out with the rose and looked at his watch. Usually, if he made his way back home now, Shen Xi would be awake by the time he came back. Shen Xi's due date is just a few days away so she's quite heavy now. Su Hang needed to go back and accompany his wife as soon as possible.

As Su Hang jogged back, he became lost in his thoughts. He hoped this baby was a daughter. He didn't want another boy, lest he turns out to be just like those two stinky boys. Too naughty, ah. 

When Su Hang arrived back home, Mrs. Zhang had just finished setting out breakfast. She was very surprised to see Su Hang come back with a beautiful rose.

"Is my wife awake?" Su Hang asked.

"Not yet." Mrs. Zhang replied. 

"I'll call her." Su Hang walked up the stairs towards the bedroom. When he gently opened the door and peeked in, he found that Shen Xi was already awake and was still on the bed, at a daze.

"Awake?" Su Hang smiled and came into the room.

Startled, Shen Xi turned towards him. Her confusion turned into bafflement as Su Hang approached her handed her a rose.

"You..." Shen Xi felt the situation to be extremely strange, but she didn't know how to ask what was happening. She thought for a moment and figured that maybe this man was apologizing for his rudeness last night.

At the thought of last night, Shen Xi's body began to ache once more. She didn't know what happened to him, but as soon as he came home yesterday, Su Hang directly carried her into the room and kept her up all night. Shen Xi wondered if she was going to die in bed several times, ah.

"Do you want to eat breakfast here, or downstairs?" Su Hang asked her softly.

"Downstairs." Shen Xi's expression was dark.

"Good." Somewhat distressed, Su Hang asked: "You're so pale. Did you not sleep well last night?"

Shen Xi coldly gave the man a pointed stare. Don't you know best on whether or not I slept well last night?

"I'll help you down." Su Hang offered.

Shen Xi couldn't stand the sudden gentleness of this man. Feeling quite uncomfortable, she replied: "No need. I'll come down after washing up."

Since Shen Xi said so, Su Hang didn't insist on it. He kissed Shen Xi on the cheek and said: "After washing up, call me. I'll help you walk down the stairs. It isn't very convenient for you now."

Shen Xi looked at the man in horror. What the hell is wrong with him? How can he act so naturally intimate with her? Shen Xi almost felt goosebumps rising on her arms.

Ding.

Su Hang, who had been waiting for his wife's call from the living room downstairs, heard his phone ding. He took it out of his pocket and found that he had received a text message from Li QingYuan. [Fuck you, are you blaming me for wanting a divorce???] Li QingYuan replied.

Su Hang immediately called Li QingYuan and angrily scolded: "Li QingYuan, what the hell are you saying?"

"What am I saying? Shouldn't I be asking you?" Li QingYuan felt similarly deceived.

"What do you mean I want to divorce my wife?" Su Hang asked.

"Not a few days ago, you told me you were going to divorce Shen Xi and you asked me to write up a divorce agreement for you. I gave it to you yesterday, ah. Brother, are you pretending to have amnesia?" Li QingYuan asked. "Did you give it to Shen Xi?"

"Li QingYuan, it isn't April Fool's Day." Su Hang coldly told him. "And even if it was Apil Fool's, your joke it too much."

"What joke, ah!" Li QingYuan yelled. "I gave you the document yesterday! Why don't you go see it yourself."

"You really gave it to me? Where did you hide it?" Su Hang was furious. If this stinky fool stealthily hid it somewhere and was accidentally discovered by Shen Xi, what was he to do?

"I placed it on your hand and you brought it home yourself!" Li QingYuan roared.

Su Hang immediately hung up the phone and went to his study. Whatever he brought back from the company would most likely be in the study. Li QingYuan must've hidden the divorce papers in between the company's documents. So because that fool knew that Shen Xi sometimes accompanied him when he worked overtime, he put those stupid papers there? When I find those blasted papers, just see how I deal with that idiot.

Su Hang looked over his desk but didn't find the papers so he opened the drawers and turned it over. As expected, a thick envelope fell out. Su Hang read through the document and found that even his own signature was on it.

Su Hang's entire body felt unwell. What's going on? How could he even think about divorcing Shen Xi?

Knock, knock.

A knock on the door snapped the frightened Su Hang out of his chaotic thoughts and almost out of reflex, he stuffed the divorce papers into his clothes. He called out: "Who is it?"

"Sir, Madam asked me to call you for breakfast." Mrs. Zhang's voice came from outside the door.

"I'm coming." Su Hang wiped away the cold sweat that gathered on his forehead and took the divorce papers out of his shirt. He placed them into his briefcase, planning on asking Li QingYuan about it later.

Seeing that Su Hang had come out of his study, Shen Xi got up from the sofa in the living room and began to walk towards the dining room. However, after only two steps, she found the man looking at her abdomen in horror. Confused, she asked: "What's the matter?"

"C-child...our child?" the petrified Su Hang stuttered.

Child? Did he want a child? Shen Xi was surprised for a moment. But then, her eyes dimmed. Well, they had been married for five years now. It's normal to want to have a child. But Shen Xi didn't want her children to be born in a family without love between the parents.

"You...want a baby?" Shen Xi hesitantly asked.

"Ha??" Su Hang was thoroughly befuddled. Whether I want one or not isn't the issue here. Your due date is in two days, ah.

　　

The bewildered Su Hang stiffly sat at the dinner table. He looked down at the two plates and chopsticks on the table for a moment, then asked: "Mrs. Zhang, where are the young masters?"

"Young masters?" Mrs. Zhang repeated in confusion. "What young masters?"

Is he dreaming? Su Hang finally realized that something was amiss. He waved his hand and replied: "It's nothing. You can go."

"Yes." Mrs. Zhang didn't dare ask any more questions and left the room.

Out of habit, Su Hang skillfully picked up the spoon and helped fill Shen Xi's bowl with porridge. He placed it by her hand, then put a few of her favorite dumplings onto her plate.

"You don't have to act like this." Shen Xi watched Su Hang's actions, then suddenly stopped him.

"What?" Su Huang looked at her in puzzlement.

"You don't have to do this." Shen Xi hesitated for a moment, then said: "I'll consider having a child. You don't have to act like this...or give me flowers."

"..." Su Hang truly didn't know what was happening. What was wrong with buying flowers for his wife???

After eating breakfast, Su Hang sat on the sofa in a daze. His mind was in a total mess. What the hell happened this morning? Although he disliked his mischievous twin boys, he would never wish them gone. And what about my little daughter that was about to be born? What about his cute angel that was to look like his beautiful wife?

"You..." Shen Xi looked at the time and asked: "You're not going to work today?"

"Uh..." President Su, who fully intended to stay with his wife at home until well after her labor, was forced to answer: "I-I'll go."

"Mrs. Zhang, please get me my briefcase." Su Hang turned to Mrs. Zhang, then went upstairs to change into a suit.

Mrs. Zhang went into the study to get the briefcase, then handed it to Shen Xi when she saw that Su Hang wasn't in the living room. Shen Xi accepted the briefcase and placed it on the coffee table. Suddenly, Shen Xi noticed that there were some documents sticking out of the case. The zipper was stuck to a corner of an A4 paper. Shen Xi didn't even think about it. She undid the zipper to properly place the file in the briefcase.

Meanwhile...

Su Hang was upstairs, pinching himself several times to make sure that he wasn't dreaming. Eventually, he changed his clothes and went downstairs. He rushed towards the coffee table and picked up his briefcase, planning on asking Li QingYuan about the situation.

"Su Hang!" Shen Xi stopped him as he was about to leave.

"Hm?" Su Hang immediately stopped and turned to his wife in reflex.

Shen Xi raised the document in her hand. With her tone as cold as the glaciers in the south pole, she asked: "You want to divorce me?"
