Chapter 47

***

It took fifty minutes for Shen Xi to arrive at the Su company. On the drive over, Shen Xi had thought about what exactly could make Su Hang want to smash things.

Shen Xi went through her memory and found that Su Hang seemed to have never lost his temper in front of her. Even during Shen Xi's last life, the most Su Hang would do whenever he got angry at her was to stare at her silently. His self-control had always been iron-clad so back then, Shen Xi had thought that Su Hang was a man that didn't experience any emotional ups and downs.

"Madam." Fang Yu met Shen Xi at the elevator doors.

"How is he?" Shen Xi looked towards the closed office door and asked with concern.

"He's calmed down." Fang Yu replied. "But the president is still in a bad mood."

"Do you know what happened?" Shen Xi questioned.

"I don't know." Fang Yu shook his head. "I only know that they seem to have argued about something."

"I understand." Shen Xi knew about Su Hang's abysmal relationship with the rest of the Su family, but she also knew that Su Hang still somewhat cared about his father, Su BaiNan.

Otherwise, Su Hang wouldn't have taken over the Su company and left 8% of the shares to the Su family. Su Hang also knew about Su BaiNan's new company, but he never hindered its inception. Shen Xi knew that although Su Hang didn't like the Su family, he still ensured that they had a way to live. It was just that the Su family wasn't satisfied with this.

As these thoughts circled her mind, Shen Xi approached the office door and gently knocked twice.

"Come in." The voice she heard was cold and stiff. Shen Xi found it both familiar and strange. Strange because Su Hang had never spoken to her with this tone in this life, but familiar because she often heard it during her last life.

Shen Xi opened the door and entered. It seemed that the office had been cleaned up, as there were no traces of disarray.

"What is...Xiao Xi?" Su Hang lifted his head and found that it was Shen Xi who had entered. He abruptly stood up from his chair in surprise. "Why have you suddenly come?"

"I missed you." Shen Xi replied with a smile.

Delighted, Su Hang put down his pen and walked around his desk towards her. When he arrived in front of Shen Xi, he didn't know what to say. Su Hang could only instinctively embrace his wife.

It seems that every time he felt downhearted, Shen Xi would always appear in a timely manner.

Just like when he had been abandoned when he was a child. While living in the orphanage, he encountered a little girl who danced to buy him some slippers.

Or like the time when he needed money the most. He met a young girl who had been so scared that she cried, yet she didn't tell her teacher that a thief would regularly climb into her school to pick up garbage.

While everyone despised his origins, Shen Xi would smile at him.

Although Su Hang acted like usual, Shen Xi was sensitive enough to tell the difference based on his embrace. Maybe this was the so-called 'two hearts becoming one'. When you're familiar enough with someone, even if they don't say anything, you'd still be able to feel their change in mood.

"Don't work today." Shen Xi suddenly didn't want to ask him what happened.

"Ah?" Su Hang looked at her in puzzlement.

"Let's go on a date." At this moment, Shen Xi just wanted to cheer Su Hang up.

President Su, who always listened to his wife, naturally didn't hesitate to skip work.

It was just a pity that neither of them had any dating experienced. They've been married for such a long time, but the number of times they went on a date could be counted with their fingers. Fortunately, the couple had already reached the highest level of dating: no matter where they went, as long as they were together, they'll be happy.

Shen Xi had proposed going on a date in the spur of the moment, so she didn't actually have any ideas on what to do. In the end, they decided to drive to the biggest botanical garden in S City. Hand in hand, the couple walked through a forest of tall trees. When they got tired, they sat on a nearby bench. Feeling the cold wind, Su Hang placed the hand he was holding in his coat pocket and grasped it firmly.

When they walked out of the woods, they came upon an open meadow. The winter grass was withered and yellow, but the fallen leaves haphazardly scattered on the ground made the formerly bleak picture somewhat romantic. Shen Xi could see a couple taking their wedding photos in the distance.

"When will you have the time, ah?" Shen Xi couldn't help but ask.

"What?" Su Hang asked.

"I want to remake out wedding photos." Shen Xi explained.

Su Hang looked towards the couple taking photos. He watched as the photographer requested the couple take a variety of poses. Smiling, he said: "I want to do it too."

"Then let's do it now." Shen Xi raised her head and looked at him.

"Wait until I find the time, we'll go to F Country. Isn't your favorite place that one castle over there? We'll shoot our wedding photos there." Su Hang said.

Shen Xi was silent for a moment, then said: "That castle isn't my favorite place anymore."

"Oh? Then what's your favorite place now?" Su Hang's voice softened and became full of doting. "We'll go wherever you like."

"My favorite place is our home." Shen Xi replied. After saying this, she quietly waited for Su Hang's reaction.

Su Hang stopped and turned to look at Shen Xi. A smile bloomed from his face and his eyes crinkled in happiness. For about three whole minutes, the man did nothing but giggle.

Three minutes later, Su Hang grabbed Shen Xi and ran out of the botanical garden. Shen Xi, who was wearing high heels, was dragged along and nearly twisted her foot. After noticing this, Su Hang directly carried Shen Xi in his arms with a wanton smile. Shen Xi, who wrapped her arms around Su Hang's neck, was also full of smiles.

Su Hang drove directly to MiLu photography studio and found the photographer who helped design their original wedding photos.

"You want to shoot your wedding photos again?" The photographer asked in surprise.

The couple both smiled and nodded at the same time.

"And you want to shoot in your home?" The photographer questioned.

"Yes." Shen Xi told him. "We want to take the pictures in our villa. In addition to the wedding photos, I also want to take some photos of us showing our everyday lives."

"Like eating together, walking together, running together in the morning, playing together with the family pet..." Shen Xi gushed to the photographer, explaining her many ideas while Su Hang was simply responsible for nodding his head and agreeing with his wife.

After speaking for over an hour, the photographer finally got the idea. He had never taken such family and home-oriented wedding photos before, and his conversation with Shen Xi inspired him. He said to them: "I get the general idea you want to be portrayed. But I still need to inspect the location."

"It doesn't matter, you can come over any time." Shen Xi said.

"Well...then when do you want to shoot it?" The photographer asked.

Shen Xi glanced at Su Hang, then said: "Is this weekend alright? My husband is busy with his work and only has time during the weekends. We want to shoot it as early as possible."

"Oh, yes." The photographer joked. "Mr. Su was also in a great hurry when he came to see me last time."

After being reminded by this, Shen Xi realized that from start to finish, their wedding seemed to have been prepared by Su Hang alone. She had done nothing but showed up with a not-so-happy expression.

"What requirements did he have during the previous photoshoot?" Shen Xi asked him curiously.

The photographer repeated Su Hang's words with a smile: "Mr. Su said that his wife likes a natural landscape and European-styled castles. He wanted to have these two scenes as the background. He also said that since you don't like gorgeous, flashy dresses, we should have the make-up be as plain as possible. Anyway, his wife was already so beautiful. He also asked us not to have the photoshoot be too early in the day because he didn't want his wife to get up early and work too hard..."

Shen Xi turned and looked at Su Hang in silence. Su Hang coughed uneasily, and his ears were turning red.

The camera doesn't lie. Back then, every photograph had been taken by a single person. From the very start, the photographer saw Mr. Su's endless love for his wife. But as an outsider, the photographer couldn't say anything and could only try his best to grasp every emotion coming from Mr. Su's eyes. He thought that when those photos were hung in their home, Mrs. Su would understand and at least have a friendship with her husband.

And this was what he saw today.

In the days that followed the MiLu photographer went to the couple's villa twice. For the first time, he spent half a day inspecting the environment inside and outside the villa. During the second time, he made a design scheme and discussed things with Shen Xi for the entire day.

In the blink of an eye, it was time to take the photos. Mrs. Zhang knew that they were going to take their wedding photos again and cleaned up the villa top to bottom a few days earlier. Even the glass facades in Chu Wu's dog house weren't spared from Mrs. Zhang's cleaning spree.

The photoshoot started in the early morning when the couple did their daily run with Chu Wu. Wearing matching sportswear, Shen Xi and Su Hang ran through the golden ginkgo trail in the same pace. From time to time, the husband would wipe sweat from his wife's forehead. Of course, the jealous expression of the neglected husband while the wife played with the dog was also photographed.

The couple changed into their home clothes and then it was breakfast. There wasn't much conversation during breakfast, just a smile now and then that released a powerful beam of love.

Afterward, Shen Xi wore her wedding dress. She stood outside in the yard with the sun shining from behind her. Looking like a glowing angel, the photographer took countless photos of her in several different scenes. But after taking photos both inside and outside the home, the photographer couldn't help but think it wasn't good enough.

"Mr. Su, lie on the blanket for a moment. Mrs. Su will lean towards Mr. Su, alright? Mr. Su will then hold Mrs. Su and at this moment, I'll take the picture. After some editing, I'll make it look like Mr. Su caught his wife after she fell from the heavens." The MiLu photographer explained his idea.

The couple and nodded. Then, according to the photographer's instructions, Su Hang laid on the ground and supported Shen Xi's upper body with his hands.

"Good, good, good, hold on." The photographer snapped photos, constantly changing angles as he did so.

Su Hang looked at Shen Xi who was hanging over him. A sly light passed through his eyes and suddenly, Shen Xi was quickly lowered. She 'fell' onto Su Hang's chest and 'accidentally' kissed him.

The photographer took the opportunity to snap several photos of this. Finally, he covertly gave Su Hang a thumbs up.

The last photo set was to be taken in their bedroom. Cough, don't misunderstand. It's just two people in bed wearing pajamas. That's all.

Su Hang's robe was half-open, revealing the muscled chest inside. Meanwhile, Shen Xi had her hair down, with her face clean of any makeup. They both sat on the bed, holding a book. Shen Xi was leaning against Su Hang's arms and they would occasionally turn to look at each other.

The scene was unbearably charming.

After taking so many wedding photos for so many years, this was the first time the photographer felt this sweet.

The author has something to say:

After this day, President Su was reluctant to throw away any piece of furniture in their home. Even the oldest piece of carpet was eventually simply stored.
