After Shen Xi called them, Su BaiNian rushed to the hospital with his wife and daughter.

The nurse who drew their blood looked towards them and asked: "What is the relationship between you and the patient?"

Su BaiNian's expression was taut and he sullenly refused to answer. He didn't have the face to proclaim to be Su Hang's father after he just exchanged his life for resources.

"They're my husband's father and sister. They have the same blood type as my husband." Shen Xi quickly introduced.

The nurse frowned and said: "Immediate family members? Immediate family members are unable to give blood transfusions."

(T/N: I'm struggling to understand, but getting blood transfusions with immediate family members is bad because the blood is so closely similar that the immune system is unable to recognize the transfused T lymphocytes as foreign. And then those T lymphocytes react against the host. I dunno, not a med person.)

The nurse's words hit Shen Xi's head like a heavy hammer, causing her legs to wobble.

Liu Fang and Su BaiNian looked at each other in panic. They've already irrecoverably broken ties with the Su family after making this deal. Now that Su Hang can't even use their blood, the promise Father Shen made...

"Dad, Mom, let's go." Su MingLi hadn't been willing to donate blood in the first place. Now that the nurse said that they couldn't she immediately pulled her parents to leave.

"What did you say?" Shen Xi grabbed Fang Yu's hand.

"The president is alright." Fang Yu replied. "The blood has been found."

With this news, Shen Xi pushed Fang Yu away and ran to the emergency room.

An hour later, in the hospital's single room.

Shen Xi was sitting by the hospital bed, listening to Fang Yu as he told her what happened.

"The president knows that his blood type is special, so he would store his own blood to a private hospital that specializes in autologous blood storage to prevent any accidents." Fang Yu explained. "Two hours ago, the private hospital called me and said that someone with the same blood type as the president needed blood. The president had told the hospital that they could use his blood if other people with the same blood type were in an emergency situation, as long as he consented. The hospital had been unable to get through the president's phone, so they eventually contacted me. I agreed as per the president's previous orders and when I got here with the blood, I realized that it was the president who was injured."

Fang Yu was feeling incredibly lucky right now. If the president had not told the private hospital that the could use his stored blood, the consequences would've been unimaginable. The president was unconscious and he hadn't known that the president was injured...he didn't even want to think about it.

Maybe the saying was right: Good people will always be rewarded.

Shen Xi held Su Hang's hand and looked at the man's pale face. She asked: "Secretary Fang, how long have you been following Su Hang?"

"Five years." Fang Yu replied.

"Then...do you know why Su BaiNian brought Su Hang back to the Su family?" It was obvious from today's performance that none of the three Su family members held any affection for Su Hang whatsoever. Therefore, the rumors of Su BaiNian's conscience making him take his son back and let him inherit the family company were false. That means that Su BaiNian had another reason for taking Su Hang back, Moreover, that reason must definitely be bad for Su Hang.

Fang Yu hesitated for a moment, not knowing how to answer.

Shen Xi knew that Su Hang took the FGGH international exams. It was what allowed him to study abroad.

The next day, when the sun had risen, Su Hang woke up from the anesthesia. He felt weak and his head hurt, but when he saw Shen Xi's tired sleeping face, his heart ached.

Su Hang looked around, wanting to find something to cover Shen Xi, but there seemed to be nothing in the ward except his own quilt. After some thought, Su Hang simply opened his quilt, intending to wrap it around Shen Xi. 

But when he moved, Shen Xi immediately woke up.

"You're awake?" Shen Xi looked at Su hang in surprise. "How do you feel? I'll go call the doctor."

"I'm fine." Su Hang pulled Shen Xi down. "Are you alright?"

Although she seemed okay on the outside, Su Hang couldn't be rest assured until he could get a definite answer.

"Are you stupid? You're the one lying on the hospital bed!" Shen Xi was so mad, she couldn't help but yell.

"Don't be angry." Su Hang tried to appease her with a smile. "As long as you're alright, I'll be okay."

After Li QingYuan left yesterday, Shen Xi had cried the entire night. Before she fell asleep, she secretly vowed to never cry again and to do her absolute best to be good to Su Hang. No more trying to penetrate into a bull's horn, no more worrying about the bullshit knot in her heart. Shen Xi now just wanted to wholeheartedly be good to Su Hang.

But after a few simple words from this man, Shen Xi's tears fell uncontrollably.

"Don't cry, don't cry." Seeing Shen Xi's tears, Su Hang immediately tried to sit up. As a result, he became dizzy and fell back onto the bed.

"Don't move. I'm not crying, I'm not crying." Shen Xi hurriedly wiped away her tears and sat back down.

"I'm really alright." Su Hang promised her with a smile.

"Nn." Shen Xi didn't contradict him. She covered Su Hang back up with the quilt, her eyes straying towards the spot where his liver should be.

"What's the matter?" Su Hang put his hand on top of Shen Xi. When he did so, he found that Shen Xi's hand was a little cold. He took her hand and put it under his quilt to help warm her fingers.

"Once you've been discharged from the hospital, let's have some children." Shen Xi voiced out this thought that she had spent all night ruminating about.

"What?" Su Hang was so surprised he failed to properly react.

"Let's have children." Shen Xi said. "A lot of them. We'll give half of them the Shen surname, and half of them the Su surname. What do you think?"

"What? Half?" Su Hang was bewildered. "How many are you planning on having?"

"As many as you want." Shen Xi seriously told him.

I want to give you lots of kids. If you don't have a home, then I'll give you a home. If you don't have any relatives, then I'll give you plenty of children. We'll have lots of kids and when they grow up and have family of their own, we'll have even more children. That way, you'll have a big family and plenty of loved ones.

Different from Su BaiNian, Su MingLi, Liu Fang, and all the Su family members. I'll give you a family.
